The weld-in strut tower reinforcement plates from Wehran Motorsport reinforce the front strut towers suitable for BMW E36. The front towers are one of the best-known weak points of the E36 under spirited driving, on track days and in motorsport. High lateral loads, stiff suspension and semi-slick tyres can lead to material fatigue, cracking or deformation over time. These plates are welded onto the factory towers and add targeted reinforcement exactly where the loads are highest.

Why reinforce the front strut towers on the E36?

The front strut towers carry the loads from the suspension straight into the body. With a sports or race suspension, firm springs and grippy tyres, these forces increase considerably. Over time, the factory sheet metal can fatigue, deform or crack around the strut mount. Reinforcement plates add material in this area and help the tower handle the loads of hard driving long-term.

Targeted reinforcement at the top and rear of the tower

The set reinforces each front strut tower in two places: on the top surface and on the rear side. This gives the towers more stability under high lateral loads and provides a more solid connection between suspension and body.

Precise fit for the factory tower shape

The plates are matched to the shape of the factory strut towers. They sit flush on the stock towers and can be welded on in place.

Installation: welded onto the factory towers

The plates are welded onto the factory strut towers. Only welding creates a solid, permanent bond with the body that reliably distributes the forces. We recommend installation by a professional body shop or race shop. After welding, the area must be protected against corrosion.
