This stiff replacement spring restores the connection between actuator and valve, and it’s an affordable alternative to replacing the entire actuator.

Exhaust valve rattle: the actuator spring is often the culprit

On many active exhaust systems, the original spring wears over time. Heat, vibration and constant valve movement cause it to fatigue, break or lose its preload. The result is play in the exhaust flap, an audible rattle or a valve that no longer operates correctly. The new spring restores the tension the mechanism needs, so the valve works cleanly again.
