Shut-off valve for brake line M10x1 + 1/8" NPT aluminum

The compact shut-off valve for hydraulic brake lines allows for locking a closed brake circuit and is particularly suitable for motorsport, racing, and custom vehicles without a mechanical handbrake.

To operate, the brake is first pressed and then the valve lever is engaged. This closes the hydraulic brake circuit and maintains the existing brake pressure.

The shut-off valve is a compact solution for custom brake systems in racing vehicles, track tools, and motorsport projects. Featuring a robust aluminum housing, the valve combines low weight with high pressure resistance.

Thanks to the four provided M5 mounting holes, the valve can be mounted securely and in an easily accessible location within the vehicle.

Shut-off valve with internal thread

The valve features a 1/8" NPT internal thread on both sides. Suitable adapters can be selected separately depending on the brake line or hose system being used.

Please note that 1/8" NPT is a tapered pipe thread. Conventional metric brake line connectors cannot be screwed in directly. Adapters for connection to M10x1 threads are included in the scope of delivery.

Shut-off valve for numerous BMW brake lines

The brake line thread M10 × 1 is used on many BMW models for brake line and brake hose connections. This includes, among others, the following series, depending on the version and connection point:

• BMW 1 Series: E82 and E87
• BMW 3 Series: E30, E36, E46, E90, E91, E92 and E93
• BMW 5 Series: E34, E39, E60, E61 as well as F10, for example M5
• BMW 7 Series: E38
• BMW Z3: Roadster E36/7
• BMW X5: E53

M10 × 1 refers to a metric fine thread with a nominal diameter of 10 mm and a 1 mm pitch. To select a suitable brake line adapter, the internal or external thread, flare type, and sealing seat must also match. The model list describes the occurrence of the thread size and is not a blanket approval for all brake connections on these vehicles.

Notes on installation and use

Installation in the brake system should be performed exclusively by qualified personnel. After installation, the entire brake system must be properly bled and checked for leaks and flawless function.

The valve is intended for use in motorsport and competition vehicles. It does not replace a legally required, independently acting parking brake for public road use.
