Steering gear conversion kit suitable for BMW E30 to E36 E46 steering gear

Reasons for the renovation

The original BMW E30 steering gear has approximately 4¼ steering turns from lock to lock and is therefore considered relatively indirect.

The steering gears from the BMW E36, E46 and Z3 are designed to be significantly more direct with around 3½ turns , resulting in a much sportier driving experience.

Because the mounting block on the E30 is taller , different height spacers are needed to correctly position the steering gear between the axle carrier and the steering gear housing .

This set of spacers therefore enables a clean and geometrically correct installation of the more direct steering gear in the BMW E30 .
