The reinforcing plates for the rear axle's wishbones were specifically developed for the BMW 02 series. They serve to structurally enhance the relatively weak rear axle swing arms as built by the factory.

Made from robust 2 mm steel sheet , these plates are welded onto the swingarms, noticeably increasing torsional rigidity – ideal for high-performance modifications, sporty applications, or a generally more stable rear axle geometry. They also feature integrated weldable mounting points for the brake lines , ensuring clean and stable line routing. These are raw steel parts, and it is recommended to paint them after installation to prevent corrosion.
