CAE Ultra Shifter – Motorsport Shifting Technology suitable for BMW 02, E21, E30, E36 & E46

The CAE Ultra Shifter was specially developed for uncompromising use in motorsport and impresses with maximum precision, shortest shift travel and an incomparable shifting feel. This universal kit is suitable for vehicles with 5- or 6-speed Getrag or ZF transmissions – regardless of whether it's a classic H-pattern shift layout or a dog-leg layout. The clutch system remains completely original, so installation can be done without changes to the drivetrain.

Short and precise shifts

The shifter enables extremely short and precise shifts, ideal for use on the racetrack or at track days. Thanks to the optimized positioning of the shift lever – close to the steering wheel – fast gear changes are possible with minimal hand movement. The H-pattern shift layout is located in a compact area of approx. 65 × 65 mm, which guarantees precise and controlled shifting.

Secure Reverse Gear System

Accidental engagement of reverse gear is impossible: The reverse gear release is done mechanically via a cable pull directly on the shift lever. To activate, simply pull the sliding sleeve on the lever upwards – a solution that combines maximum safety with intuitive operation.

No Yielding Construction

The CAE Ultra Shifter is a prime example of CNC-machined motorsport technology:

• High-strength milled and turned parts made of 7075 aluminum
• Robust substructure made of 3 mm thick AlMg3 sheet metal, laser-cut and TIG-welded
• Brushed aluminum surface for a high-quality finish

The result: low weight with maximum stability, even under intensive load in motorsport.
