The CAE Ultra Shifter Street Version is the everyday version of the well-known motorsport bestseller – perfect for drivers who want to combine precise shifting in everyday life with genuine motorsport technology .

With a reduced height of approximately 70 mm compared to the regular Ultra model and moderately shortened shift travel, this shifter is the ideal compromise between comfort and performance.

Compatibility & Construction

Suitable for vehicles with 5- or 6-speed Getrag and ZF transmissions , optionally in standard H-pattern or dog-leg layout .
The CAE Street Shifter offers super-precise gear changes , optimized ergonomics and perfect positioning of the gearshift lever – closer to the steering wheel for fast gear changes.
The H-pattern shifting system is located in a compact area of ​​approximately 75 x 75 mm , which guarantees a precise and direct shifting feel.

Reverse gear lock

The reverse gear release is operated via a cable pull directly at the gearshift lever .
Unintentional engagement of reverse gear is impossible – it is unlocked by pulling up the sliding sleeve on the lever .

Materials & Manufacturing

Made from high-quality materials:

• 7075 aluminum for all milled and turned parts

• 3 mm thick AlMg3 sheet , laser-cut for the substructure

• Joined using the TIG welding process and brushed clean for a high-quality finish.

The result: low weight with maximum stability – designed for high loads and precise feedback.

Function & Settings

• Gear changes under load or in curves are easily possible

• An integrated center spring ensures clearly perceptible lane guidance.

• Separately adjustable stops for right/left limit and reverse gear

• Delivered fully pre-assembled – including all small parts, screws and detailed assembly instructions.

Only minimal modifications to the BMW center console are required for installation.
